2006: $43,000 for the Community Kitchens Program to equip a kitchen for teaching single mothers. view photos
1999-2005: YWCA Mary Dover House Provided funds to construct a full multi-family Kitchen facility. Salvation Army's Childrens' Village Funded the purchase of a cargo and passenger van as well as library and educational materials. Closer to Home/Success by Two Provided funds for the downpayment to purchase a facility (plus furnishing and equipping the home) to assist young mothers with children under age two. Rotary Challenger Park Granted funds to assist with the construction of a multi-purpose sports facility for the disabled. Rosedale Hospice Donated funds to support families with young children and their terminally ill parents. Club Support For Other ProjectsBolivia Orphanage Project: Partnered with the Rotary Club of Santa Cruz in Bolivia to fund an expansion to a children's orphanage.Micro Credit Project: Contributed to a program where small amounts of moneys are loaned to individuals (usually women) in third world countries to start a business. Polio Plus Program: Over the years about $15,000 was contributed to help polio eradication in the world. |
