At our September 20, 2007 meeting Dave Townsend, Club President, displays a painting given to us by Hull Child and Family Services to thank the Rotary Club of Calgary Sarcee for its donation of a van, purchased from our 2007 Art Auction proceeds.

Community Kitchen Program of Calgary

Your generous contribution of funds provided a Reefer Van Unit to facilitate the delivery of our Feeding the Future Program children's initiative that provides nutritious, hot meals to at-risk youth in high needs areas.

We teach children the importance of making good choices and provide an opportunity to touch and impact the lives of children. Proper nutrition is essential to the over-all healthy functioning of a child: physically, emotionally and academically. In 2006, Feeding Our Future fed 9,295 hungry children a meal they might otherwise have been denied.

The monies were also utilized to assist in the construction of our new training kitchen as well as purchase much needed utensils, pots and pans. You have been extremely instrumental in making the warehouse collaboration so successful and we are very grateful for your substantial, on-going support.
