What Do We Expect From Members?

This is a popular question, and the answer is to support the club as best as you can. We understand that our members have busy schedules and commitments (both professional and family). We still have the movtivation and interest to serve the community.

However, because we are a relatively small service club, it is important that every member be involved and offer service in one or more avenues of service throughout the year. When and how is up to the individual member. We ask that you have fun, fellowship, and enjoy camaraderie. At the same time we believe in what we do for the local and international communities and take it seriously.

Attendance at the Club's weekly meetings is a part of both fellowship and to ensure members' active participation on assigned committees.

Participation at the District and Rotary International events provides a full understanding of Rotary as a whole, together with various opportunities for serving locally and internationally.

To talk to someone about our club please call 270-2878.

Membership Costs

Initiation fee is $60 for a prospective member. Upon approval of membership, the individual pays an annual fee which is presently set at $250. Weekly fellowship and breakfast meeting cost is $15.

In the spirit of having some "fun with purpose", keep some loonies and toonies available for happy and sad bucks and fines.

Board Minutes are available for members to   access online  . Lost passwords can be retrieved at the next meeting.

New Members

Anyone interested in joining usually attends a few meetings to see if they are a fit with the club. Breakfasts are free for first-time visitors. If the prospect wants to pursue membership, he or she fills out an application form.

The prospective member is nominated by a current member and then is invited to meet with the membership committee to discuss responsibilities and expectations. The member's name and information is published in the weekly newsletter twice and if there are no objections, the membership is approved. Then the prospective member is formally inducted at a weekly meeting.
